Maryssa Geist recently joined Kates Nussman and immediately put her skills to work on real estate, hostile work environment and post-divorce judgment matters.
Before joining the firm, Maryssa worked as a litigation associate at Ricci & Fava LLC. There she has concentrated her practice in the areas of civil rights defense, education law, criminal law and personal injury litigation.
She is a 2015 graduate of Seton Hall University. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University in 2018. During law school she focused on criminal justice issues and reform and received a certificate of merit in criminal law and procedure from Rutgers University.
After graduating from law school, Maryssa completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, a Superior Court Judge for the Criminal Division of Passaic County, New Jersey.
