Noah Zakim is a Partner at Zakim & Zakim, P.C., and has served as Of Counsel to Kates Nussman Ellis Earle & Landolfi LLP since 2009. He is also Of Counsel to the Blitz Law Group, where he maintains his New York City office. Mr. Zakim is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Zakim’s practice encompasses a broad range of commercial and real estate matters. He represents clients in commercial litigation, real estate and commercial transactions, landlord-tenant litigation, foreclosure actions, and commercial collections. He routinely advises individuals and businesses in the purchase and sale of small businesses, entity formation, and the drafting and negotiation of shareholder, operating, and partnership agreements.
His real estate practice includes representing clients in the purchase and sale of commercial properties, all aspects of commercial leasing, land use matters, planning and zoning applications, defense of commercial property tax lien foreclosures, and the prosecution and defense of commercial mortgage foreclosures. He also has extensive experience in residential mortgage foreclosure defense.
Mr. Zakim regularly represents both residential and commercial landlords in summary dispossess proceedings, commercial tenancy disputes, residential eviction matters, and complex lease litigation. His broader litigation experience includes contested estate proceedings, probate litigation, chancery matters, and partnership disputes.
In addition to his private practice, Mr. Zakim serves on the Conservation Committee of the New York–New Jersey Trail Conference, providing pro bono legal counsel on land preservation issues. In recognition of this service, he received the Trail Conference’s 2018 Leo Rothschild Conservation Award. Since 2011, Mr. Zakim has volunteered as a pro bono attorney with Northeast New Jersey Legal Services, offering legal assistance to low-income clients. He was honored with the organization’s Empowerment Award in 2015 and received an Equal Justice Medal from Legal Services of New Jersey in 2019.
