In the past few weeks, many nurses in several states got shocking news informing them that if they went to Nursing School at either Siena College/Siena College of Health, Sacred Heart International Institute, Quisqueya School of Nursing (Sunshine Academy), Med-Life Institute WPB, Quisqueya Health Care Academy, or Palm Beach School of Nursing, their nursing licenses were in jeopardy.
These nursing schools have been closed because of “Operation Nightingale,” a US Department of Health and Human Services investigation.
The alleged scheme involved the selling of fake and fraudulent nursing degree diplomas and transcripts obtained from accredited Florida-based nursing schools to aspiring Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/VN) candidates. The individuals who acquired the bogus nursing credentials used them to qualify to sit for the national nursing board exam. Upon successful completion of the board exam, the nursing applicants became eligible to obtain licensure in various states to work as an RN or LPN/VN. Once licensed, the individuals were then able to obtain employment in the health care field.
The Education Departments in these states have either suspended nursing licenses, or are threatened to do so on very short notice. We believe that this is an unconstitutional act and in violation of your personal rights. You are entitled to Due Process and a right to a hearing, let us help protect you.
